Formats participating in the Competition
According to the sent video
The duration of the video in all categories shall be up to 3 minutes maximum. You may register for the competition and send your video until the 14th of February. The number of the participants is limited, you should register as soon as you have decided to participate. The video can be recorded in any format, the main condition is that the dancer is shown clearly and in full growth. You can also submit the video of your past performances on the stage or the video that have been prepared for other competitions. It is not recommended to send the video that is more than 6 months old.
Real-time competition in Zoom
The participants of the competition join Zoom, where all the judges and the presenter are with the cameras turned on. The competitors perform their dance numbers and, in addition to the marks, they receive comments from each judge (the participant has the right not to receive the comments, if he or she does not want to). The real-time competition will take place on 19 February. A more detailed timetable will be available after the completion of registration.
Real-time competition on Instagram, the «Crown of BellyDance Production» nomination
The «Crown of BellyDance Production» nomination will take place on Instagram Live 27 February on Angelina Sudakova’s Instagram account. The duration of the performance shall be up to 3 minutes maximum. The participant should join Angelina`s Instagram Live according to the predetermined list. You will receive a technical rehearsal of the connection process and all instructions in advance. All the participants in this nomination receive Angelina`s comments on air, and after the performance other judges comment the dance number in writing. The competitors are divided by age. There is no division by levels and styles. In this nomination, you can perform a dance in any style.
Master class for every participant
All the participants of the competition (in all nominations, both solo and group) may attend Angelina's online master class absolutely free of charge.
The topic is «Musicality is the main trump card of the dancer + competitive performance. Classical Arabic song». During the master class the topic on musicality is explained in 4D format:
Melody. Its structure, features, how to work with it?
Rhythm. The master class includes the analysis of which rhythms are in the music for the performance that we will learn, and how to work with rhythms competently?
Voice. The specific character of working with the voice, how to convey to the viewer every word with your body?
Accents. How to show your individuality using accents in music? Author’s tricks and techniques revealed by Angelina Sudakova.
The master class consists of the theoretical as well as the practical parts, during which we immediately apply the acquired knowledge. The master class will be interesting and useful for dancers of any age and level of training.
At the end of the master class, everyone receives a full recording of it (if you cannot attend online, you receive the recording version), music for the production, and the certificate of completion of the master class.
The master class lasts for 2 hours.
